Since its inception and gaming console domination Sony has sought out to destroy the competition by offering its consumers a new gaming experience. Being the first to pioneer interactive media, movies, online gaming, and exedra, with its console gaming and destroying a fan favorite, Sega, which was in the mist of revitalizing its gaming market with the Sega Dreamcast, Sony sought out to berry oncoming competition and did. Two gaming generations later presenting a powerful console, the PS3, and the surprisingly sleek PlayStation Vita, Sony leaves consumers asking for more. With respect to its E3 presence and its gaming display Sony presented many titles and future possibilities that where revered by fans alike. However, expecting something bigger then what was offered, fans where still left with the big question of what happened to the franchise that commanded much respect? Setting a mark of high quality in video gaming and taking steps in directions that have never been visited in the market Sony neglects console functionality by lack of software gaming. Presenting integrated console media between the New Vita and the PS3 Sony disappoints where its gaming rival, Nintendo, exceeds! Taking note and having no excuse concerning the quality and graphics capability Sony can market its Vita as more than just a console backdrop. More serious gaming production and further console integration, besides cross-play functionality, with the PS3 will help freshen gaming presentation and set Sony in a new direction. The question now is, can Sony deliver? Check out, “What we want out of Vita!”
